MY ROLE

Steering a squad of 5 designers through the design wilderness. Ensuring tasks glide in on time, nurturing teamwork as elastic as a bungee cord, and serving as the vital link between creativity and cohesion.

GRASP THE COMPLETE AIRPORT PANOMA

Staying aligned with the global airport landscape and focusing on our project's main objectives, our team conducted competitive analyses and utilized a business model canvas for cohesive planning.

GATHER INSIGHTS FROM TARGETED USERS

Having conversations with 5 of our targeted users, aged 65 and above, about their airport experiences provided us with valuable insights into the specific pain points/ needs they encounter.

A LEVEL DEEPER TO USERS NEEDS

As a team, we've been using UX essentials like Empathy Maps, user personas, and user stories to understand our users better and envision who we're designing for.

UNLEASH FOR INNOVATION!

We created the current experiences from curbside that Barbie - the users has to go through and identify potential detail problems.

THE DRAMA IS HERE

Our team is divided into two camps regarding user experiences before and after security, highlighting contrasting viewpoints and leaving us at an impasse.

OUR TEAM SPLIT INTO THREE GROUPS

THE COMPROMISE

After a week of intense debates, we're tackling both pre and post-TSA experiences, prioritizing the latter as it's akin to a rollercoaster ride full of twists and turns, ensuring Barbie's safe journey to the gate.

GENERATING IDEAS

As a group we came up with about 40 ideas then we grouped ideas that were similar .

After narrowing down our ideas to the top 5 solutions, our group used a prioritization grid to rank them, aiming to identify the most impactful and feasible solution among them.

WHOSE PROTOTYPE IS DEEMED BEST?

Every idea counts toward our final solution.Through collective review, we distilled the best ideas into a final flow that reflects our team's creativity.

OUR IDEAS CAME TO LIFE

Starting from low to high-fidelity prototypes. We presented our work to professors and iterate based on their feedback.

MOMENT OF TRUTH

We tested on 2 users. Or we would like to call them: Barbie 1 and Barbie 2

ITERATION

Although the testing yielded mixed reactions, our sole remaining task is to redesign based on user feedback. We've implemented significant changes.

Here are the   before-and-after.

CONTEMPORARY

While Checkpoint began as a modest school project, it rapidly morphed into our UX dojo, enlightening me and my stellar team in the nuances of designer thinking.

Through this project, I've discovered a newfound love for collaborative problem-solving, embracing the power of unity in tackling challenges as a cohesive force.

Thank you for your time :)
